Transport for NSW (Transport) is required pursuant to section 163 of the Roads Act, 1993 to keep a record of all classified roads.
To manage the extensive road network, Local Councils in partners with Transport, has established an administrative framework of State, Regional, and Local Road categories.
The categories can briefly be described as follows:
I appreciate constituents and residents contacting me about improving our transport and roads. The North-Western Region of Sydney has experienced significant housing growth, leading to extensive traffic delays on many of our roads.
I have been contacted by members of the community who have asked that the Goverment fund improvements to many of our roads. Members of the community have asked that the Government fund improvements to Annagrove Road, Annangrove; Newline Road, Dural; Showground Road, Castle Hill; and Old Northern Road, Castle Hill to Baulkham Hills. The roads are critical to the safety of the free flowing of traffic in our community.
I have spoken in Parliament as to the need for the Government to fund improvements to the roads within the Castle Hill Electorate.
