Free Diary Helps Castle Hill Seniors Know Their Legal Rights

Seniors can accesspractical advice on retirement planning, managing living costs, drafting wills,and avoiding scams through Legal Aid NSW’s free 2025 Legal Topics for SeniorsDiary.

 

Mark Hodges, StateMember for Castle Hill, encourages seniors to take advantage of this resource,which also includes guidance on navigating legal challenges such as neighbourdisputes and consumer rights.

 

“I encourage seniors tovisit the local electorate office to collect their free diary and stay informedabout their legal rights,” Mr Hodges said.

 

The diary, a keyinitiative by Legal Aid NSW, empowers seniors to better understand and protecttheir rights.

 

This year’s editionfeatures artwork by award-winning Aboriginal artist Jasmine Sarin, symbolisingthe importance of Elders in preserving cultural knowledge and family stories.

 

Legal Aid NSW CEOMonique Hitter emphasised the diary’s value, saying, “The diary offerspractical advice on cost-of-living pressures, mortgage stress, tenants’ rights,and protecting against scams.”

 

Free copies areavailable at Legal Aid NSW offices, public libraries, and State Members’offices. Seniors can also order online from 2 December 2024.
